Abstract:

In this study,Hetian sheep and Chinese Merino sheep were chosen as the research object. They were randomly divided into infection group (n=5) and control group (n=3).Every sheep in infection group was orally infected with 250 metacercariaes of Fasciola hepatica, the biochemical index, cytokines (IFN-γ,IL-2,IL-10,TNF-α) and immunoglobulin (IgG,IgM and IgA) in blood were measured at 0,3,6,10 weeks after infection. In Hetian sheep and Chinese Merino sheep, the content of the aspertate aminotransferase (AST),total bilirubin (TB) and alkaline phosphatase (ALP) in serum of the infection group were significantly increased, significantly higher than that of the control group at 6 weeks after infection (P<0.05),the serum globulin (GLB) content of the infection group in Chinese merino sheep were significantly higher than that of the control group at 6 and 10 weeks after infection (P<0.05).The serum IgM content of the infection group in Hetian sheep were significantly higher than that of control group at 6 weeks after infection (P<0.05).At 6 and 10 weeks after infection, the level of IgG,IL-2 and IFN-γ were significantly increased, significantly higher than of the control group (P<0.05).The level of serum AST,ALP in Chinese Merino sheep increased more than that of Hetian Sheep, however, the levels of serum IgM,IgG,TNF-α and IFN-γ in Chinese Merino sheep increased more than that of Hetian Sheep. The results suggest that there are some differences on immune response against Fasciola hepatica between Hetian sheep and Chinese Merino sheep, the study provides some theoretical data for sheep anti-Fasciola disease research.
